<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus equipped with a cooling device not causing the increase of a cost etc. <P>SOLUTION: As for the image forming apparatus provided with an image forming part 1 having a photoreceptor drum 2 as an image carrier for holding an electrostatic latent image, a developing apparatus 4 for developing the electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor drum and a cleaning device 6 for recovering the toner remaining on the photoreceptor drum, a metallic top cover 6a such as an aluminum cover having high thermal conductivity is arranged on the top face of the image forming part 1.
