<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device which can facilitate detection of a specific place where an error takes place, and can facilitate its recovery. <P>SOLUTION: When jamming is detected (ST3 and ST4) as one of errors during printing (ST1 and ST2), in the case where the jamming is detected at a printer part (ST7), a real image of the jamming occurrence part of the printer part is displayed with an arrow at a display part 7 (ST8). In the case where the jamming is detected at a fixing part, a real image of the jamming occurrence part of the fixing part is displayed with an arrow at the display part 7 (ST9 and ST10).
