<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker diaphragm having a superior Young's modulus and an internal loss. <P>SOLUTION: The speaker diaphragm contains a thermosetting resin impregnated in a base containing an woven cloth of polyethylene naphthalate fibers, and the thermosetting resin is preferably an unsaturated polyester resin. The polyethylene naphthalate fibers are preferably not twisted fibers at least a part of which is coated with a second thermosetting resin. The second thermosetting resin is preferably an epoxy or melamine resin.
