<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, an apparatus and a program for transmitting a content, and a method, an apparatus and a program for receiving the content for detecting tampering of the content on a distribution route where the content is distributed from a transmission side to a reception side. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 3 for transmitting content extracts a feature quantities of the content, individually transmits content authentication data and the content, the content authentication data being obtained by ciphering a hash value resulting from applying arithmetic operation to the feature quantities by using a hash function, and causes a reception side receiving the content to detect the tampering of the content based on the content authentication data. The apparatus 3 is provided with a feature quantities extraction means 9a extracting the feature quantities of the content, a hash value calculation means 9b obtaining the hash value resulting from applying arithmetic operation to the extracted feature quantities by using the hash function, a ciphering means 9c obtaining the content authentication data resulting from ciphering the hash value and a content authentication data output means 9d transmitting the content authentication data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
