<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give points on the basis of commodity purchase and to issue a service ticket on the basis of the accumulation of given points by simple constitution without modifying an existing system such as a POS terminal in a store. <P>SOLUTION: The point registering/exchanging system registers points acquired from a tenant by a customer and exchanges the registered points for a service ticket. The system certifies that the customer is a member, converts medals charged by the member through a recovery mechanism into the number of points, adds the number of points to the number of points owned by the member, and registers the added number of points in a member DB. In order to convert the number of stored points into a service ticket, the number of points corresponding to the service ticket is subtracted from the read number of stored points and the subtracted points are recorded as member's stored points again.
