<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a lead-acid battery capable of preventing early capacity degradation by presence of Sb, and having an excellent cycle life by restraining adverse effect to a negative electrode of Sb as much as possible, in a control valve type lead-acid battery having a positive electrode grid formed of a Pb-Sb-based alloy having an Sb concentration of 0.5-1.5mass%, or an open type lead-acid battery wherein a sufficient electrolyte is present; and to provide a lead-acid battery manufactured by the method. <P>SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of this lead-acid battery is characterized by that, in order to restrain the adverse effect of Sb, a certain quantity of oil is added to a negative electrode plate; a certain quantity of Sn is added to a positive electrode active material; a certain quantity of lignin is added to the negative electrode plate; or/and the ratio of the mass of the negative electrode active material to the mass of the positive electrode active material is set above 0.6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
