PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for treating varnish in a stator coil, which can prevent the adhesion of varnish to the axial end face of a stator. SOLUTION: Vanish is dropped (in the direction of each arrow 32 and 33) via each drop nozzle 7-10 to each end of a stator coil 2 jutted out at both axial ends of a stator 3 which rotates, being held by a stator holder 4. Each air nozzle 35 and 36 supplies compressed air via a solenoid valve not shown in figure from outside, and is arranged in the nearby positions of the lowermost sections of both axial hems of the internal perimeter of this stator 3. The jet of each air nozzle 35 and 36 is arranged to blow out air toward (in the direction of an arrow 37) the right and left axial ends of the stator 3 from diagonally above half outside the stator 3. Consequently, the vanish has flown to the axial right and left ends of the stator from the stator coil 2, and is blown away downward of the stator 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
