PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable wireless telephone set which is enabled to light up characters and symbols displayed on the case surface of a key array surface and improved in operability. SOLUTION: This portable wireless telephone set has the key array surface, where surfaces of illumination keys 6 of a front case 2 are arrayed, formed in a lamination structure of a light-blocking front case body 7a and transparent components 7b constituting the front case 2, and the front case body 7a at a position corresponding to a character/symbol 10 where characters and symbols of a transparent component 7b are printed is formed with an opening as a light path 17. Light emitted by an LED 14 as a light source of the illumination key 6 illuminates the illumination key 6 and also travels as shown by arrows 18 indicating illuminating directions to illuminate the character/symbol 10 through the light path 17 and penetrate the transparent component 7b.
