PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid such defects that a handrail gets in the way by hitting peripheral objects or a worker and that the space of a storage chamber is narrowed in providing the handrail for the worker to grip when performing maintenance or the like of equipment enclosed in the storage chamber in a construction machine wherein the storage chamber disposed in a super structure can be opened/closed with an openable/closable side cover for covering the outer side face of the super structure. SOLUTION: A first handrail 17 is provided in the storage chamber 10, while a member which forms the outer peripheral edge part of a roof part 21 of the storage chamber 10 is constituted as a second handrail 22.
