PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the characteristics of a measuring object with high accuracy and high sensitivity by optimally controlling the solubility of gases in a solution at respective parts in a system to deter gas bubbles from being produced due to degassing from dissolved gases in the solution while deterring the dissolved amount of the dissolved gases from changing, thereby reducing drift, undulation, and noise in liquid chromatography. SOLUTION: In this liquid chromatography system, the solution comprising an eluent and sample water is chromatographically separated from each other by being passed through a separation column and a liquid flowing out of the column is sent to a detector for detecting the characteristics of the measuring object. This system is characterized in that a cooling mechanism is provided between the separation column and the detector to cause the temperature of the liquid sent to the detector to be lower than a temperature in the separation column.
