PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a hard mirror or a TV camera or a light guide connected to the hard mirror from becoming an obstacle to microscopic observation or a medical operation to allow an operator to observe a required position easily. SOLUTION: This hard mirror includes an observation optical system and an illumination optical system and has an inserting part, a handle part and a connecting part to connect the inserting part and the handle part. The connecting part has a first bending part and a second bending part to guide the illumination optical system in the same direction as the bending direction of the first bending part.
