HOLLOW POLYMER FINE PARTICLE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow polymer fine particle comprising a shell of single layer structure and having a high porosity and a method for producing the same by using a short process and a simple method. SOLUTION: The method for producing the hollow polymer fine particle comprises steps in which a mixture of (i) at least one kind of crosslinkable monomer (B), (ii) an initiator (C) and (iii) a slightly water-soluble solvent (D) having low compatibility to the polymer or copolymer obtained from at least one crosslinkable monomer (B) is dispersed in an aqueous solution of a dispersion stabilizer (A) and a suspension polymerization is carried out. The hollow polymer fine particle is obtained by the method and comprises the shell and hollow part, wherein the shell has a single layer structure composed of a polymer or a copolymer of at least one crosslinkable monomer.
