PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for judging the life of a battery used in an automobile having an idle-stop function which device can judge the life of the battery during a power supply system is operating. SOLUTION: The device for judging the life of a battery used in an automobile having an idle-stop function comprises a voltage measuring portion for measuring the voltage of the battery, a current measuring portion for measuring the charging/discharging current of the battery, a charge status calculating portion for calculating the charge status of the battery based on the integrated value of charging/discharging currents measured by the current measuring portion, and a life judging portion for judging that the battery has gone out when the charge status of the battery at the time of engine start after the power is turned on or after idle stop exceeds a first threshold value and the voltage of the battery at that time is lower than the first threshold voltage that is higher than the minimum engine starting voltage.
