PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera which can effectively use the positional information of a main object. SOLUTION: The digital camera 2 displays an auxiliary frame showing an assumed main object range on LCD 13. A CPU 33 calculates the position of the main object of the photographed picture corresponding to the assumed main object range. Information on the position of the main object, which is calculated by the CPU 33, is added to a picture file including photographed picture data and tag information on picture data.
