PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably supply ink to a recording head without using a damper. SOLUTION: This inkjet printer 1 comprises main tanks 21-24 for storing ink which is not cured by contact with air but by a system opened with respect to the contact with air, recording heads 7-10 for ejecting the ink, and a carriage 6 that has the recording heads 7-10 mounted thereon and moves them to positions where the main tanks 21-24 are placed. Sub-tanks (not shown in Fig.) that are placed between the main tanks 21-24 and the recording heads 7-10, temporarily reserve the ink stored in the main tanks 21-24 and supply the ink to the recording heads 7-10, are mounted on the carriage 6. The ink stored in the main tanks 21-24 is directly supplied to the sub-tanks. The sub-tanks can be vertically moved in a condition that the sub-tanks are mounted on the carriage 6.
