<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-length carbon nanotube (CNT) fiber having excellent electron emission properties and mechanical strength, to provide a CNT (carbon nanotube) aggregate with desired dimensions in which the CNT fibers are sufficiently entangled each other, and to provide a CNT-setting device in which the CNT aggregate is set. <P>SOLUTION: The CNT aggregate is formed in such a manner that a plurality of carbon nanotubes are entangled and integrated, and includes the CNT by a volume ratio of≥80% or≥99% in a nonrefined state. Further, granular or filmlike impurities consisting either of carbon other than that of the CNT or ash or of a mixture thereof are included in the inside by a volume ratio of≤1%, or are stuck to the surface, and the volume ratio of the CNT as a whole reaches≥80%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
