摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fatigue damage detecting sensor of a structural material having sensitivity for detecting a fatigue damage degree at a sufficiently early stage, and accelerating a progress speed of a crack in a pointed end part of a cutout part without enlarging the whole by extending the apparent length of a detecting area in the structural material and the other base material. SOLUTION: By paying attention to further easily causing stress concentration on a crack occurrence part in the detecting area of a fatigue damage detecting sensor, for example, partially changing the thickness of the detecting area, a detecting sensor body is defined into a pair of left-right fixing areas and the detecting area for forming the cutout part in a central part. A thickness reducing part is arranged for reducing the thickness of the detecting area toward the cutout part. Strainεn of the cutout part, average strainεof the detecting area, the length 2H of the detecting area and the conversion length Hc of the detecting area becoming apparently long by arranging the thickness reducing part are set to Hc/H=εn/ε.
