PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shrinkable aromatic polyester resin tube having good heat resistance and moist heat resistance, excellent in covering processability, and obtained by adding a carbodiimide compound to the aromatic polyester resin by a specific amount, melting, forming and stretching to make the carboxy terminal group [COOH] concentration of the aromatic polyester resin at or less than a specific range. SOLUTION: This heat shrinkable aromatic polyester resin tube is produced by melting, forming and stretching a resin composition containing 0.01-5 pts. wt. carbodiimide compound (B component) based on 100 pts. wt. thermoplastic resin (component A) containing≥70 wt. % aromatic polyester resin, and (1) the carboxy terminal group [COOH] concentration of the tube is≤15 (eq/10<SP>6</SP>g) and (2) the carboxy terminal group [COOH] concentration of the tube after a moist heat treatment under 85°C×85% RH×1,000 hr is≤30 (eq/10<SP>6</SP>g).
