PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device in which radiation of heat can be improved while the miniaturization/thinning/increasing operation speed of the device are attained. SOLUTION: A laser driver IC for driving a semiconductor laser 3 is connected and arranged on a flexible substrate 8 arranged on an optical case 2, metal radiation members 4a, 4b, 4c are contacted with and fixed to a surface of a laser driver IC package, radiation is achieved by air cooling based on the rotation of a recording medium.
