PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water supply device capable of effectively functioning a power consumption controlling function for controlling a power consumption by shutting off a commercial power source without inhibiting a freezing prevention operating function. SOLUTION: The hot water supply device has an earth leakage breaker 5 allowing or interrupting the electric supply of the commercial power source PW to a main body 1 of the hot water supply device, a charging capacitor C1 for charging by the commercial power source PW when power is supplied to the main body 1 of the hot water supply device from the commercial power source PW, and an F point switch 6 that is placed between the charging capacitor C1 and a grounding point and forms a discharge route for discharging charged electric charges of the charging capacitor C1 to the grounding point by an opening operation when the ambient temperature of the device reduces to below a given temperature. When a given operating condition is met, the main body 1 of the hot water supply device makes the earth leakage breaker 5 open to shut off the commercial power source PW. With the commercial power source PW shut off, when the charged electric charges of the charging capacitor C1 are discharged by the F point switch 6, the earth leakage breaker 5 is opened based on the discharge signal and power is supplied from the commercial power source PW.
