PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent oil leakage to the outside of a dynamic pressure bearing device. SOLUTION: Oil absorbing parts A1 and A2, meniscus forming parts B1 and B2, and an oil reserving part D are formed in a bearing inner space formed between a top-like shaft body 4 and a bearing member 10 and opening to the outside at the axial both ends thereof. Each space part is formed so that, where the volumes of the oil absorbing parts A1 and A2, meniscus forming parts B1 and B2, and oil reserving part D are VA1, VA2, VB1, VB2, and VD, the requirements of VA1 > (VB2 + VD) and VA2 > (VB1 + VD) can be satisfied. Namely, the device is so formed that the volume of one oil absorbing part is larger than the sum of the volume of the meniscus forming part on the other oil absorbing part side and the volume of the oil reserving part VD.
