PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel wherein an increase of manufacturing costs is avoided, large fluctuation of substrate gap (a cell gap) to an external pressure is avoided, and generation of interference fringes, fluctuation of color tone and fluctuation of driving voltage characteristics are avoided and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A spacer 26 is formed on one substrate 20 by using photoresist. The spacer 26 has a depression at a top part and sucked to a substrate 10 to fix the substrates 10 and 20 since the inside of the depression is in a reduced pressure state. For example, the depth of the depression is specified to be≥50% of the height of the spacer 26 and contact surface area of the spacer 26, and the substrate 20 is specified to be 30 to 70% of cross sectional surface area of the spacer 26.
