PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal etalon type tunable filter using a liquid crystal driving voltage of≤10 V. SOLUTION: The tunable filter comprises a quartz glass 8A which is a first transparent substrate, a first reflecting mirror 5A, a first transparent electrode 4A, a liquid crystal layer 1, a second transparent electrode 4B, a second reflecting mirror 5B, and a quartz glass 8B which is a second transparent substrate, and it is fabricated by arranging them in this order.
