PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrophoresis particles for a picture display medium with an excellent electrostatic charging property. SOLUTION: The electrophoresis particles for the picture display medium have been subjected to surface treatment with at least two or more kinds of coupling agents, and are characterized by having at least one kind of the coupling agents being a coupling agent with an alkyl group and having at least one kind of the other coupling agents being a coupling agent with a polar terminal group.
