<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store medical images easily and efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 300 performs prescribed image processing on a diagnostic image constituted of voxel data showing the image picked up by a modality 100. At the time, the image processing apparatus 300 counts to show which pixels are used for the image processing and performs prescribed weighing. Then, the image processing apparatus 300 forms flag data to determine the pixel with a count value of at least a prescribed threshold value after a prescribed period, extracts pixel information corresponding to the flag data, and stores the extracted pixel information and the flag data as long-term storage data in an image storing device 400. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
