<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cellulose-based fabric having little change in dyed color and deodorizing properties. <P>SOLUTION: A fabric consisting essentially of a cellulose fiber is prepared. The fabric is applied to a dyeing process and the cellulose fiber is dyed to give the dyed fabric. In the dyeing process, a reactive dye is preferably used. Then, a part of the dyed cellulose fiber in the dyed fabric is converted to an alkali metal carboxymethylated cellulose fiber. In the operation, the substitution degree of the alkali metal carboxymethylation is 0.01-0.10. Then, the alkali metal carboxymethylated cellulose fiber is converted to zinc carboxymethylated cellulose fiber by metal ion exchange reaction. In the cellulose-based fabric dyed in the method, the color difference (▵E) between the dyed fabric after the dyeing process and the deodorant cellulose-based fabric is approximately ≤5 by the Hunter color difference formula. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
