<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switching hub device with which distribution treatment of an optical signal is directly carried out by using control light. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical switching hub device 10, when light with a wavelength identical to that of control light L<SB>C</SB>is synchronized with the inputted control light L<SB>C</SB>corresponding to branching information included in an optical signal L<SB>1</SB>transmitted via a first optical fiber 12 corresponding to a main optical waveguide and is outputted from an optical triode 18 to an optical distributor 50, the light inputted from the optical triode 18 is selectively distributed to an optical fiber F<SB>B1</SB>, F<SB>B2</SB>, F<SB>B3</SB>, ... or F<SB>Bn</SB>corresponding to a wavelength of modulated light L<SB>3</SB>, i.e. the control light L<SB>C</SB>, inputted from the optical triode 18 out of the optical fibers F<SB>B1</SB>, F<SB>B2</SB>, F<SB>B3</SB>, ... F<SB>Bn</SB>corresponding to a plurality of branching optical waveguides with the optical distributor 50.
