<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-color image forming material comprising an image receiving sheet which hardly generates an image spot dropping caused by unevenness and dusts on a recording drum, has less defects of dots, and has good carrying properties, and a method for manufacturing it. <P>SOLUTION: The multi-color image forming material for laser thermal transfer comprises the image receiving sheet having an image receiving layer, and at least four kinds of thermal transfer sheets of yellow, magenta, cyan and black on a substrate, and the surface energy of the face just below the image receiving layer is 25-50 mN/m. In the method for manufacturing the multi-color image forming material, when an undercoat layer is applied on the substrate and the image receiving layer is provided by coating the undercoat layer with a coating liquid for the image receiving layer, by suppressing solubility of the undercoat layer caused by the coating liquid for the image receiving layer, convection of the coating liquid for the image receiving layer when the image receiving layer is dried, is accelerated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
