<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor and an information display method for suppressing reduction of a contents display area by a scroll bar in browsing contents and enhancing operation efficiency of a user. <P>SOLUTION: The information processor has: a scroll bar control part 3; and a location information processing part 1 which receives, from an external input device 7, locational information specifying a location on a screen which the user designates and informs the scroll bar control part 3 of the location information. The scroll bar control part 3 is made to determine whether the location on the screen which the user designates is on the scroll bar displayed on the screen or on a predetermined area around the scroll bar.
