PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the loss of an optical path in which a plurality of mirrors exist having an error in the vertical alignment without complicating the manufacturing of the mirrors.
SOLUTION: A lower substrate 1 on which the mirrors 7, 9, and 12 are formed and an upper substrate 2 on which the mirrors 8, 10 and 11 are formed are so connected that the end parts of the respective mirrors are opposite to each other. Further, the mirrors 7, 9 and 12 formed on the lower substrate 1 and the mirrors 8, 10 and 11 formed on the upper substrate 2 are alternately arranged in the optical path connecting optical fibers 3 and 5 and optical fibers 4 and 6. Thus, the errors in the vertical alignment of the mirrors 7, 9 and 12 and the errors in the mirrors 8, 10 and 11 are canceled, the beam emitted from optical fibers 3 and 5 is made incident to optical fibers 4 and 6 while the optical axis is almost kept in parallel. The optical fibers 4 and 6 on the incident side are held at a position slightly higher than that of the optical fibers 3 and 5 on the emitting side.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
|
