<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for translating specified words in a specific translation way and to provide a translation system in a machine translation. <P>SOLUTION: When starting of a prescribed work, a dictionary management part 30 managing dictionary files to be referred in translation creates a temporary dictionary 44, or a virtual dictionary file, to be used in the translation performed in the work. The translating part 20 translates a text by referring to the temporary dictionary 44 and other dictionary files.
