PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure the quality regarding a printing characteristics curve or a transfer characteristics curve in rotary printing and to compensate a change in a posture caused by a deflection. SOLUTION: The surface of a plate cylinder or a form cylinder 1 is provided with an outer peripheral surface 2 curved in a protuberance type in the axial direction. On the occasion, the outer peripheral surface 2 is provided so that the protuberance type profile thereof specified by calculation changes in such a manner that the diameter of the plate cylinder or the form cylinder 1 becomes maximum at the center in the axial direction and minimum on the lateral edge part side.
