PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine capable of reducing a period of time from a transmission operation of an original until the completion of the transmission. SOLUTION: Upon receiving an instruction of starting processing (S13), this facsimile machine conducts parallel processing of reading/encoding processing (S14), dividing processing (S21), e-mail generating processing (S24) and e-mail transmitting processing (S26). Accordingly, since the processing for e-mail transmission can be conducted in parallel to the reading/encoding processing, the period of time from the transmission operation of an original until the end of the transmission can be reduced.
