PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a dynamic pressure bearing device of a spindle motor so that it can be manufactured easily at low cost without decreasing vibration characteristics and rotation accuracy. SOLUTION: A bushing unit in the dynamic pressure bearing device of the spindle motor has a divided thimble part divided into an upper thimble 2 and a lower thimble 10, a circular spacer 5 that allows the upper thimble 2 and the lower thimble 10 to be spaced from each other in the axis direction, and a retaining ring part 3 fixed to a rotor 4 by the circular spacer 5 to fix the both thimbles 2, 10 and the circular spacer 5 to the inner surface. Further, a circular recessed part 17 constituted by the both thimbles 2, 10 and the circular spacer 5 is provided to store a thrust plate 6 placed in the center part of a shaft 1 in the longitudinal direction.
