PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face-back inversion device for shortening the time required for face-back inversion of paper sheets. SOLUTION: In the face-back inversion device 10, paper sheets S are required to be low in friction resistance against an inversion unit 30 while maintaining high friction resistance against an inversion belt 31. A plurality of air blow-out parts 40 are formed on a surface of the inversion unit 30 along the diagonally slung inversion belt 31. By blowing air of the predetermined pressure from the air blow-out parts 40, the paper sheets S can be slightly floated from the surface of the inversion unit 30. Therefore, the paper sheets can be carried with small friction resistance against the inversion unit 30, the paper sheets S are smoothly face-back inverted along the slinging direction of the inversion belt 31. Further, heat generation of the inversion belt 31 and the paper sheets S can be efficiently suppressed during the high-speed inversion of the paper sheets S by utilizing the air blow.
