PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Buddhist memorial tablet for depositing the ashes which enables the family to recollect the deceased person with solemnity everyday at own home along with lower production costs. SOLUTION: The memorial tablet for depositing the ashes comprises a base part 2 having a housing part 4 for housing the ashes inside and a memorial tablet part 1 erected at the upper part of the base part 2. A door 3 leading to the housing part 4 is provided on the top surface or the side of the base part 2 and opened to house the ashes. The base part 2 and the memorial tablet part 1 can be fixed integral. The door 3 leading to the housing part 4 may be disposed on either of the top surface or the side of the base part 2 and double doors are preferably installed on the front thereof aesthetically.
