摘要 The invention concerns a 2 to n optical divider in integrated optics, with n being an integer not less than 2, comprising in a substrate at least one 2 to 2 optical divider element (15), said element including first and second guides (G1, G2) of widths W1 and W2 respectively adapted to divide an input light wave (E) introduced into one of the guides, into first and second output waves (S1, S2) transported respectively by the first and second guides based on a specific division ratio. Said first and second guides have respectively three parts: a first part (I) wherein the first and second guides gradually come closer to each other up to a distance Dc which is non null and less than a threshold distance Ds corresponding to the minimum distance from which the input light wave introduced into one of the guides is capable of being coupled at least partly in the other guide, a second part (II) of length Lc called coupling length wherein said guides are substantially parallel to each other and spaced apart by the value Dc, and a third part (III) wherein the guides gradually vary from the value Dc to reach a value higher than Ds, the values Dc, Lc, W1 and W2 are selected so as to have an achromatic dividing element at operating wavelengths. The invention is applicable to all fields requiring a 2 to n optical function and more particularly in telecommunications.
