<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and method for activating programs reducing overlapped portions of respective programs and efficiently booting programs related to hardware resources. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus has the hardware resource used for image forming process and the program executing processes related to image formation.
