<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color processor and processing method facilitating the distribution of color images by utilizing color codes for which a sufficiently wide area is sampled equally to sensation even on a uniform color space and mutually converting the color codes with less redundancy and chrominance signals of a device without depending on the device. <P>SOLUTION: The color processor is provided with a means for converting the chrominance signals of an image input/output device to points on the uniform color space, and a means for dividing brightness (lightness), vividness (saturation) and a color tone (hue) at a rate equal to the sensation in the uniform color space, allocating a unique code (UCSC: Uniform Color Space Code) to each area and converting the point on the uniform color space to the code allocated to the area including it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
