<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that minimizes the waiting time required for a user to correct a gamma correction table in the case where a plurality of image quality modes are present. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a determining means which, when a print key is depressed, determines whether the correction process of the gamma correction table that corresponds to an image quality mode set in the current job has been performed yet or not after the turning on of a power source; a correction means which performs the correction process of the gamma correction table that corresponds to the image quality mode set in the current job when the determining means determines that the process has not been performed yet after the turning on of the power source; and a means that executes the current job after a correction process by the correction means is finished. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
