PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a new mirror for optical scanning in which a high speed single way scanning or a double way scanning is provided, and a plurality of beams are easily mounted at a high density, and to realize an optical scanning device using the mirror. SOLUTION: The mirror for optical scanning 100 is constituted so that that mirror faces 104 and 105 are formed on the outer peripheral face of a rotating body 101 having a shape of disk. The respective mirror faces have a twisted face in a plane orthogonal to the axis of rotation 102 and the center of twisting is located at a circle 103 having a predetermined radius of which the center is the axis of rotation 102, and the tilt with respect to the axis of rotation 102 continuously varies from an end of the plane to the other end. The mirror faces are separated by a blanking part 106 and the direction of tilt of the end part of the mirror faces adjacent to each other beyond the blanking part is reversed in direction. The mirror for optical scanning 100 is rotated and irradiated with the light beam, the single way scannings of a plane which is in parallel to the axis of rotation are performed twice per a rotation with a reflected beam.
