PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing roller and an image forming apparatus with which an image high in quality can be surely obtained. SOLUTION: In the developing roller possessing at least one layer coated with resin 3a, on the outer peripheral surface of an elastic layer 3, the layer coated with the resin is constituted of an ultraviolet ray or electron beam-curing resin. The layer coated with the resin 3a incorporates particulates whose average particle size is about 1-50μm and conductive agent such as ion conductive agent and electronic conductive agent. Silicone rubber, fluororubber, melamine resin, phenol resin, glassy carbon and urethane elastomer or the like are suitable as the particulates. The ratio a/b of the average particle size (a) of the particulates and the thickness (b) of the layer coated with the resin 3a is desirably set as 0.05-0.5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
