PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float valve using a synthetic resin as its material to reduce weight and facilitate machining and dividing the float valve into a portion having seal function as a valve and a portion holding such characteristics as configuration, strength, and reduced weight as a valve and using different types of synthetic resin materials for these portions in place of manufacturing the entire float valve with an expensive synthetic resin to reduce price and increase performance, and a method of manufacturing the float valve. SOLUTION: This float valve comprises a core part 1 formed of a material manufactured by mixing reinforcing materials such as glass fiber, mineral powder, and carbon fiber and a foam agent in a thermoplastic or thermosetting synthetic resin and a skin layer 2 installed on the entire outer periphery or a part of the outer periphery of the core part 1 and having seal function as a valve and formed of the thermoplastic or thermosetting synthetic resin material without the reinforcing materials and foam agent.
