PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder that can readily detect clogging in a nozzle of a print head, can be constituted at low cost by sharing an identical sensor for detecting the clogging in the nozzle and for detecting an ejection speed of ink, is hardly contaminated by ink drops, and does not require cleaning. SOLUTION: This inkjet recorder 1 performs recording by ejecting ink drops on a recording paper 82a from the print head 13 having the plurality of nozzles 14 for ejecting ink drops. An ink drop detecting means 20 for detecting ink drops with electric charges ejected from the nozzles 14 is placed along the arrangement direction of the nozzles 14 and is roughly parallel to an ink ejection path of the ink drops ejected from the nozzles 14 to be adjacent thereto.
