PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid ejection system comprising an ejection head having an opening for ejecting liquid, i.e. ink, and a channel for leading ink being supplied to the ejection opening, and an ink tank being connected with the ejection head and supplying ink to the ejection head wherein the ink tank is separable from the ejection head and leakage of ink from the ejection opening of the ejection head is prevented when the ink tank is separated from the ejection head. SOLUTION: A pressure regulating section 15 comprising a displaceable or deformable elastic member is arranged on the wall face of a channel 12 in an ejection head 1, and an ink tank 2 is provided with a member 25 for pressing the pressure regulating section 15 when the ink tank is connected. When the ink tank is disconnected, the pressure regulating section recovers to expand the inner volume of the channel and since a negative pressure can be imparted into the channel, leakage of ink from the ejection opening can be prevented.
