PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stringed instrument in which a player can confirm a finger pressed position without visually confirming a finger board or position marks during the playing.

SOLUTION: Projecting and recessing parts are formed on the back side of a neck to confirm the locations of the string pressed positions by contacting these parts with the player's hand. Thus, the player of the instrument confirms the string pressed positions without visually confirming the position marks.
