PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a pressure sensitive adhesive tape that has an excellent adhesion to a floor covering sheet with a polyethylene laminated surface or an embossed surface, hard to get loose or peeled when the tape is used for fixing the sheet, does not cause damage to the flooring and leave only a very small amount of an adhesive residue when it is removed after filling the protective purpose and is given hand-tearability to make its handling easy, when the tape is applied. SOLUTION: This pressure sensitive adhesive tape has a pressure sensitive adhesive layer at least on one side of a substrate. The substrate contains a polyolefin resin and has a light transmittance of≤10% for a wavelength of 300-400 nm.
