PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an unsaturated organic compound derivative by a coupling reaction. SOLUTION: Unsaturated organic compounds represented by general formula (1): n'(R<SP>1</SP>X<SP>1</SP><SB>n</SB>) [wherein, R<SP>1</SP>is an aryl group, a heteroaryl group or an alkenyl group; X<SP>1</SP>is a leaving group; n and n' are each 1 or 2 and not simultaneously 2] are reacted with a boron compound represented by general formula (2): m[R<SP>2</SP>(BX<SP>2</SP><SB>2</SB>)<SB>n'</SB>] (wherein, R<SP>2</SP>is an aryl group, an alkenyl group or a heteroaryl group; X<SP>2</SP>is a hydroxy group or an alkoxy group; m is 1 or 2, and m≤n). In the reaction, a complex of 1,3-bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)propane, 1,4-bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)butane or 1,1'-bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)ferrocene with a nickel compound is used as a catalyst. The method for producing the unsaturated organic compound derivative represented by general formula (3): (Y)<SB>(n-1)</SB>-R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>2</SP>-(R<SP>1</SP>)<SB>(n'-1)</SB>(wherein, Y is R<SP>2</SP>or X<SP>1</SP>) is provided.
