PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod for fishing, which is rapidly expanded and contracted and prevents inclusion of foreign substances, or the like. SOLUTION: This fishing rod 10 is equipped with a butt rod 17, and an aeration part 25 is arranged at the fixed position of the butt rod 17. The aeration part 25 is composed of a great number of slits 28. The slits are set to have 0.1 mm-3 mm width size (a) and 0.1 mm-3 mm length size (s). The aeration part 25 is formed at the position of a distance A from the rear end 29 of the butt rod 17 and extended to the position of a distance.
