The invention relates to a separator for separating objects from a number of objects according to the geometrical shape and/or the size thereof. The inventive separator comprises a stationary input (10) for objects and a stationary output (12) therefor. Mobile receiving elements (16, 18) for receiving objects from the number of objects are arranged between an objects receiving area (20) and an objects discharging area (24). Said receiving elements (16, 18) are provided with one or several perforations (18) for receiving the objects from the number of objects. Each perforation (18) is provided with objects receiving and discharging orifices. The receiving orifice of the perforations (18) is closed when a corresponding perforation (18) is in the objects receiving area (20) and is opened when a corresponding perforation (18) is in the objects discharging area (24). Receiving elements (38, 40) for collecting certain objects which are received in the perforation(s) (18) before passing to the discharging area (24) are arranged outside the objects receiving area (20). |
